What I ordered: Tacos De Tacha

Review: I’d read about this place. It ranks highly on many of the must-visit restaurant lists in Dallas, and for good reason. It was also featured in the Netflix show “Taco Chronicles” (it’s season 3 has a Dallas episode). With all of this anticipation, it lived up to the hype. Though I must confess these were bougie tacos, upscale for sure, a far cry from my the typical street-style fare featured on this website.

I ordered the “Tacos De Tacha,” which is a rotating chef’s special. It comes with a protein not found among the regular selection (which are fish, skirt steak, shrimp, and Lion’s Mane mushrooms) placed in a uniquely flavored hand-made masa tortilla. I couldn’t tell you all of the details of the specific tortillas I had, I think they included quinoa and grits (maybe) but they were tasty. The mean was on-the-bone lamb chops (two per tacos). It made it a bit challenging to eat. The waiter suggested holding the bones while biting, but I opted to cut the meat off the bone. Either way, it was amazing. The green salsa for the chips and salsa served along side the meal was very good too. Definitely worth a visit!
