What I ordered: Tacos
Review: The sign outside said “Best of the West,” so obviously I had to try it! This place is more of Mexican restaurant than a taqueria, with a full menu of Tex-Mex style entres. I ordered their “famous” street tacos. I asked my server about the meats and she recommended the pastor. The meat was solid; flavorful and juicy. The tortillas and meat were oily/greasy, like your traditional gas station street tacos. The cup of beans was really solid too, but I didn’t care for the side of rice. I did like the green salsa! Overall, I liked the old-school roadside vibes. Inside was kind of hodge-podge, but everyone was really friendly. I gotta say, I really like West Dallas.
